ESPN reported that football player Jarran Reed was arrested by Tuscaloosa Police on July 13 after he was found to be driving while intoxicated.
Reports provided by the Tuscaloosa County Jail stated that the 21-year-old defensive lineman was charged with DUI after authorities found that he had a blood alcohol content of 0.13 percent. Team coach Nick Saban expressed disappointment regarding Reed’s arrest and said that the team will evaluate the issue and determine how they will discipline the player. A bail amount of $1,000 was set for the North Carolina native.
