Baby sleepers with choking hazard risk to be recalled

Baby sleepers that were sold at Babies R Us stores have been recalled after it was found out that the satin flower petals may potentially choke a baby, according to a report from the Huffington Post on Wednesday, August 21.

The product affected by the recall is the HALO SleepSacks that were sold from December 2011 to July 2013. The flower design that can be detached from the garment may choke a baby. There were already six reports in which the petals became detached and one in which a baby was gagging on the flower design, the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission said.

Consumers have been advised not to use the affected product and seek product replacement from its manufacturer.

Sustaining injuries from defective products can be devastating and frightening, especially if your baby is the one affected. Fortunately, if this happens to you in Birmingham, a lawyer from Yearout & Traylor, P.C., may be able to help you hold the manufacturer responsible.
