Worker from DOT dies from injuries

Hobi Wade Hussey, 21, of Elba, died on Monday afternoon at the University of Alabama at Birmingham hospital from injuries suffered during an accident while working for the Department of Transportation.

Hussey was struck by a car on US 29 in Pike County while he was working as a flagman.  Camden Stephens, 19, of Luverne was the driver of the vehicle.

The incident is still under investigation.  The results of a toxicology report for Stephens are still pending, and a traffic homicide investigation was opened.
