Fatal accident on Hilliard St kills Manchester resident

At 7:03am Tuesday morning, Birmingham police responded to a severe motor vehicle accident at the intersection of Hilliard and Electric streets.  Motorcyclist Guy Farnsworth, 49, of Manchester collided with a 1985 Ford F-350 dump-truck driven by 74 year old Bolton resident, John Stygar.  The collision happened as the truck was making a left turn onto Electric St.  According to police, Farnsworth was not wearing a helmet, and after sustaining serious head injuries, he was pronounced dead at the scene.  Stygar did not suffer from any injuries.  Police are still looking for witnesses, and are continuing to investigate the incident.
