Texting while driving may be the cause of a fatal car accident that occurred in Birmingham, Alabama.
According to officials, the 18-year-old woman was killed after she collided head-on with a dump truck. Her phone shows that she was texting a few minutes before the collision occurred.
Her 10-month-old son was also in the car and he was transported to the hospital as a result of the crash and was later pronounced dead. The Alabama Department of Public Safety has stated that there has been six deaths this year that have been linked to the use of cell phones while driving.
Our deepest condolences are with the friends and family of the victim during this difficult time.
