There has been a voluntary recall of Radio Flyer’s Scoot ‘n Zoom, a plastic riding toy for children.
According to the U.S. Consumer Product Safety Commission, the riding toy can tip over and possibly injure the rider. Prompting the decision to recall the product were reports of ten incidents causing six injuries, including loosened teeth and chin lacerations.
The Scoot ‘n Zoom model being recalled has been sold from August 2010 through August 2011 at retailers such as Walmart, and online at Amazon.com and Target.com. Purchasers of the riding toy should get in contact with Radio Flyer in order to receive a free replacement unit or refund.
If your child has been injured by a toy defect, the manufacturer should be held responsible. Contact the Birmingham product liability lawyers of Yearout & Traylor, P.C. at 205-414-8160 today.
