A deputy officer was attacked by a pit bull last week when he was serving a warrant at a house in Mobile. The officer shot the dog three times and it later died at a local veterinarian’s office.
The deputy suffered severe bites on his arms and injuries from a fall on the porch when the dog ran towards him. He received nearly a dozen stitches. He also reports that the dog was let outside when someone opened the door at the home he was visiting.
