A woman was injured when she was struck by a car while riding her bicycle for a charity bike race in Mobile.
The woman was one of 700 people participating in the Ride Yellow charity biking event that was held on Saturday. Nearly 32 miles into the 62-mile course, she was struck by a car that moved into her lane while passing a vehicle on the roadway.
It was a no passing zone where the accident occurred. The bicyclist suffered from a broken arm and leg as a result of the accident. Alabama State Troopers are still investigating the accident at this time.
