A car accident that occurred the last week of May and caused five people to be sent to the hospital, is still being investigated at this time.
The accident occurred at the intersection of Carol Plantation and Pascagoula Road when a police officer was on his way to a call and he sped up to make a light before it turned red. The police hit two other vehicles, but the speed that the man was going was not released.
A 46-year-old driver of one of the vehicles was seriously injured and transported to the hospital with multiple broken bones and head trauma. The man has been undergoing surgery and treatment and has just now been released to a regular patient room. Police have still not said who was at fault in the accident.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the man during his recovery.
