A federal court of appeals has recently reversed a jury’s verdict in a wrongful death lawsuit that involved the death of an Alabama man after police used a stun gun on him to subdue him
The panel on 11th Circuit Court of Appeals ruled that the family of the 22-year-old man could not go on with the lawsuit under those grounds.
According to authorities, the man became combative during a routine traffic stop and police used a stun gun against him. His family filed the suit stating that police used excessive force against him.
Our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victim.
