Two injured after train and car accident

Two people are still in the hospital after a train accident that occurred on Bayou Avenue and Highway 43.

The 22-year-old driver of the truck did not stop the vehicle before it approached the tracks. Another car was stopped there and began to honk his horn in order to warn the truck that the train was coming, but the truck was not stopping. The train then hit the back end of the truck and caused it to go airborne.

Train accidents can cause serious injuries, our thoughts are with the friends and family of the victims during their recovery.
