A mother and two children were involved in an accident with a train right before the New Year on Alabama Highway 14.
The accident occurred around 4:30 in the afternoon when the 21-year-old mother was heading east down the highway and she left the roadway and collided with the train. Police officials believe that the woman may have been driving distractedly when the accident occurred. The woman and her two children were transported to East Alabama Medical Center, but they have all been treated and released.
